As part of the Bridges of Giving the campaign to help individuals impacted by the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, volunteers met at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday to put together relief and aid packages.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and the Emirates Red Crescent worked together to coordinate the community-led event (MBRGI).
More than 2,000 people contributed to the packing of more than 15,000 boxes with food, toiletries, clothing, and blankets.
MBRGI Director Sara Al Nuami stated that the campaign will go on if necessary.
