Residents of the UAE may now bring personal medications and medical equipment into the country through two online platforms that the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) just created.
The ministry is advising clients to use the extra services, which call for getting an e-permit before bringing in any medical equipment.
Consumers can access the services through the service category on the MoHAP website or mobile app.
They must complete the needed fields, include all required attachments, and submit their application electronically.
Customers must adhere to the requirements set forth by the ministry in order to receive the services.
Personal medications that are required for use during a person’s stay in the country may be brought in, as long as the quantity doesn’t exceed six months.
However, they are only permitted to transport enough narcotics or controlled drugs for three months at a time, and they must also have all required paperwork.
Healthcare organizations and regional agents with a current medical warehouse license issued by the MOHAP are eligible to import medical equipment.
The local agent must meet the criteria established by the ministry in order to be eligible.
